Alberta PNP Announced its Draws of December Month

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted its PNP draws and invited potential candidates to apply for Canada PR. 

The province recently announced and disclosed the number of invitations issued under various categories from December 4, 2024, to December 17, 2024. 

In these draws, the total number of invitations issued was 3,545, with varied CRS scores. 

Summary of the Draws:

On December 4, 2024, the draw was held under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway– Express Entry, with the following specifications:

• Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
• The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is May 4, 2025 or later.
• Express Entry profile’s primary occupation is in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
• Job offer in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway.
• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
• Must meet the requirements to practice occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 52 invitations were issued under this category with a minimum score of 49.   

However, on the same date, December 4, 2024, the province conducted another draw under a different category. This draw was held under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway– non-Express Entry, with the following specifications:

• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
• Not in the Federal Express Entry pool.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway- eligible occupation.
• Must meet the requirements to practice occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 27 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 47. 

On December 10, 2024, Alberta conducted its draw under the Alberta Express Entry Stream– Priority Sectors with the following specifications:

• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
• Valid Express Entry profile.
• Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
• The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is August 31, 2025 or later.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
• 12 months of work experience.
• Primary Occupation in Express Entry Profile and Job Offer with an ‘Alberta Employer’ in occupations are not:

An ineligible occupation under the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
An occupation in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) has broad occupation categories, such as business, finance, and administration occupations, as well as sales and service occupations. 

A total number of 262 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 65. 

On December 11, 2024, Alberta conducted its draw under the Alberta Express Entry Stream– Accelerated Tech Pathways with the following specifications:

• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
• Valid Express Entry profile.
• Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
• The expiry date of the work permit is February 28, 2025 or later.
• The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is August 31, 2025 or later.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
• 12 months of work experience.
• Primary Occupations in Express Entry Profile and Job Offer with an ‘Alberta Employer’ are in Accelerated Tech Pathways- eligible occupations. 
• Job offer employment in Alberta whose primary business activities are in an eligible AAIP list of Accelerated Tech Pathways eligible North American Industry Classification System codes. 

A total number of 87 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 59. 

However, on the same date, the province conducted another draw. On December 11, 2024, under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway– Express Entry, with the following specifications:

• Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
• Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
• The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is May 11, 2025 or later.
• Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
• Primary Occupations in the Express Entry Profile are in Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, which is an eligible occupation.  
• Job offer in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway. 
• Must meet the requirements to practice occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 11 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 43. 

On the same date, December 11, 2024, the province conducted another draw under a different category. This draw was held under the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway– non-Express Entry, with the following specifications:

Meet the requirements to practice occupation in Alberta. 
Not in the Federal Express Entry pool.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway- eligible occupation.
Must meet the requirements to practice occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 8 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 52. 

The province conducted another draw. On December 11, 2024, under the Alberta Express Entry Stream– Priority sectors, with the following specifications:

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
A valid work permit.
A valid Express Entry profile.
Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is April 14, 2025 or later.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
Primary Occupations in the Express Entry Profile and Job Offer with an Alberta employer in the construction sector. 

A total number of 39 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 50. 

On December 12, 2024, Alberta conducted its latest draw under the Alberta Express Entry Stream– Priority sectors, with the following specifications:

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 4 or higher.
A valid work permit.
A valid Express Entry profile.
Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is April 14, 2025 or later.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
Primary Occupations in the Express Entry Profile and Job Offer with an Alberta employer in the Healthcare sector (Dedicated Healthcare Pathway). 
Must meet requirements to practice the occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 11 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 50. 

On the same date, December 12, 2024, the province conducted another draw under a different category. This draw was held under the Tourism and Hospitality stream, with the following specifications:

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 4 or higher.
Valid Work Permit based on a Labour Market Impact Assessment.
Work permit expiry date of March 31, 2025 or later. 
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
A full-time job is offered by an employer in Alberta who is a member of an eligible Tourism and Hospitality stream sector association.
Job offer for an eligible Tourism and Hospitality stream occupation. 
Work experience of 6 months or more in Alberta.  

A total number of 260 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 65. 

On December 13, 2024, Alberta conducted its latest draw under the Tourism and Hospitality stream with the following specifications:

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 4 or higher.
A valid work permit.
The expiry date of the work permit is March 13, 2025 or later.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
A full-time job is offered by an employer in Alberta who is a member of an eligible Tourism and Hospitality stream sector association.
Job offer for an eligible Tourism and Hospitality stream occupation. 
Work experience of 6 months or more in Alberta.  

A total number of 11 invitations were issued under this category, with a minimum score of 60. 

On the same date, December 13, 2024, the province conducted another draw under a different category. This draw was held under the Alberta Express Entry stream– Law enforcement pathway, with the following specifications:

Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 6 or higher.
The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is May 31, 2025 or later.
Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
Full-time job offer employment in Alberta.
A full-time job is offered by an employer in Alberta who is a member of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police (AACP) in an eligible Law Enforcement occupation. 

A total number of 4 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 48. 

On the same date, December 13, 2024, the province conducted another draw under a different category. This draw was held under the Alberta Opportunity Stream with the following specifications:

The work permit expiration date is November 15, 2024, or later.
Full-time job offer in Alberta.
Job offer with an Alberta employer in the construction sector.
Pool registrants with Express Entry profiles were not included. 

A total number of 147 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 50. 

On December 16, 2024, Alberta conducted its latest draw under the Alberta Express Entry stream with the following specifications:

Full-time job offer in Alberta.
Job offer with an Alberta employer in the construction sector.
Valid Express Entry profile.

A total number of 110 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 50. 

On December 16, 2024, Alberta conducted its latest draw under the Alberta Express Entry stream with the following specifications:

Minimum Express Entry CRS score of 300 or more.
The expiry date of the Express Entry profile is May 31, 2025 or later.
Primary Occupations in the Express Entry Profile in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway- eligible occupation. 
Full-time job offer in Alberta.
Job offer in a Dedicated Healthcare Pathway- eligible occupation. 
Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) or Niveaux de competence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 or higher.
Must meet requirements to practice the occupation in Alberta. 

A total number of 14 invitations were issued in this draw, with a minimum score of 47.

The AAIP selects candidates to apply for permanent residency in Alberta. If you have received a nomination from the province, you must submit a permanent residency application to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You can apply for Canada PR with your spouse or partner and dependent children.

AAIP conducts its draws usually on a weekly basis. The size and frequency of the draw depending on the AAIP’s application backlog. 

The processing time of the AAIP application is determined by many following factors: 

The completeness, eligibility, and valid information in the application 

Quantity or volume of the application received 

Date when the application was received 

Labour market, strategic priorities, and economic development needs 

The remaining number of nomination certificates for the year
