Prince Edward Island Latest PNP Draw Invites 158 Candidates

Prince Edward Island recently conducted its latest PNP Draw on December 16, 2024, and invites eligible skilled workers to immigrate to Canada and apply for PR.  

The draw was held under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur, Minimum Point Threshold for Business, and Labour and Express Entry categories, and the invitations were issued to individuals currently working in Prince Edward Island’s healthcare and construction sectors.  

In addition, the invitations were also issued to individuals whose work permits expiring before Feb 2025 in the Manufacturing and Trucking sector. 

Under this draw, a total number of 158 invitations were issued to apply for Canada PR. 

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur: 1
• Minimum Point Threshold for Business: 125
• Labour and Express Entry: 32

The Prince Edward Island PNP program offers aspiring immigrants the chance to receive a nomination from the province, which increases their chances of obtaining Canada PR. 

The province operates many immigration streams through which the candidates can apply or receive an invitation to apply:

• PEI Express Entry.
• PEI Labour Impact.
• PEI Business Impact.

The Prince Edward Island PNP issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) bi-weekly, with some exceptions. 

The candidates are selected to receive an invitation based on the following criteria:

• Language: Candidates must have proficiency in English or French language
• Education: Candidates must signify the level and field of education and institution
• Skill and Work Experience: Candidates must also demonstrate their skills and work experience in the related field
• Strategic Priorities: Candidates are required to show attributes that they can immediately join the labour market workforce 
• Candidates need to support themselves with financial stability to reside in Canada.
• Other factors relevant to employment prospects 

The PEI immigration pathways depend on Federal immigration allocations, application volumes, and provincial labour market needs. 

Upon receiving a nomination under the PEI PNP, the candidate will get an additional 600 points, which increases their chances of obtaining Canada PR.
