PEI PNP DRAW - PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND Releases Its Last Draw Of The Month

On 29 February 2024, Prince Edward Island released its latest draw. A total of 24 invitations were issued under the Labour and Express Entry category. The invitations were given to the individuals working in the healthcare and construction sectors. 

In the month of February, a total of 223 invitations were sent under the category of Labour and Express Entry. The number of invitations issued this month was higher than last month. 

Eligibility Criteria For PEI Expression Of Interest - 

In the Prince Edward Island EOI system, candidates are ranked according to specific criteria. Candidates who are most likely to fulfill Prince Edward Island's economic and labor market needs are selected and given preference. The eligibility criteria for PEI EOI is as follows-  

• A candidate should be between the ages of 21 and 59.
• The person needs to have an offer of employment (full-time) from an employer on Prince Edward Island for a skilled position listed in the Job Skill Type NOC 0, A, or B level.
• The candidate has a current work permit.
• It is critical to provide financial evidence for the settlement. The candidate needs to attach bank statements as proof for the same.
• A basic knowledge of French and English language skills is the requirement.

PEI Puts Emphasis On Healthcare Workers In 2024

The Canadian Province of Prince Edward Island plans to focus more on healthcare workers and the infrastructure in 2024. "Whether it's building more housing or having enough staff in our child care, education or healthcare system, we need highly trained, skilled workers to grow these systems sustainably," says provincial premier Dennis King. 

The officials of Prince Edward Island province want to balance the need for skilled labor and want to invite more candidates for it. The province also wants to cover the other needs like infrastructure and services including healthcare, housing, and education.
