PEI PNP DRAW 2024: PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND 2nd Draw of the month

On 15 February 2024, Prince Edward PNP's latest draw took place. A total of 121 invitations were issued under the category of Labour and Express Entry. Skilled workers, critical workers, and express entry invitations were issued to individuals who were PEI employees. The minimum EOI score required was 65.

Prince Edward PNP 

The PNP of Prince Edward Island has played a pivotal role in enabling immigrants to enter Canada through the second gateway. Candidates who still need to meet the requirements of Express Entry can search for the Prince Edward Island PNP.

Under PEI PNP, there are three options to choose from-

• Labour Impact Category
• PEI PNP Express Entry 
• Business Impact Category 

Criteria For Labour Impact Assessment 

Based on labor requirements, potential immigrants can move to their desired destination. The criteria a candidate should qualify for are as follows- 

• Age - A candidate should be between the ages of 21 and 59.
• The person needs to have an offer of employment (full-time) from an employer on Prince Edward Island for a skilled position listed in the Job Skill Type NOC 0, A, or B level.
• The candidate must have a current work permit and have shown up for the job interview.
• It is critical to provide financial evidence for the settlement.
• Language proficiency- A basic grasp of French and sufficient English language skills are required.

PEI Express Entry 

IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) assesses candidates or prospective immigrants in the Prince Edward Island Express Entry. The candidate must complete a free competence assessment test as part of this process. The test has a 1,200-point maximum score. Out of which 600 points are necessary for qualification. The person can select any attractive hotspot province and indicate this on the application when submitting it.  

Business Impact Category 

Depending on the Business Impact Category, entrepreneurs and applicants at the managerial level may face challenges. The immigration gateway has three more expansive streams, each with varying skill levels and requirements:-

• Minimal Stream of Business Investment - The Partial Ownership Stream is for overseas people who wish to acquire a stake in a local company. The investment amount will remain fixed at C$1,50,000 for five years in a row.
• Work Permit Stream- Under this stream, the candidate is given a job in the PEI business one plan to invest in before making any investment. The candidate will receive the nomination to apply for permanent residency (PR) after meeting all requirements and terms of a performance agreement.

Complete 100% Ownership Stream -The PEI immigration class is for foreign entrepreneurs with the drive and spirit of entrepreneurship to establish their own company in the region or purchase an already-existing PEI enterprise. The candidates participating in the program must own all of the business in both scenarios. The business must also generate revenue by selling goods or services to third parties or through retail.
