OINP Express System : 2086 NOIs issued in Human Capital Priorities Stream

On February 6, 2024 Ontario issued 2086 NOIs for Express Entry candidates falling under the Human Capital Stream. Last year, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score ranged from 481-489. This month saw the CRS score being lower than the last year with the overall range of 379-430. 

The Human Capital Stream has few criterias for its eligibility and should belong to one of the six occupations mentioned below:

• NOC 2173 - Software engineers and designers 
• NOC 2174 - Computer programmers and media developers 
• NOC 2147- Computer engineers 
• NOC 2175- Web designers and developers 
• NOC 2172- Database analysts and data administrators 
• NOC 0213- Computer and information systems managers

Skilled Trades Stream recorded the highest NOIs this month out of the three streams, namely Human Capital Stream, Skilled Trades Stream and French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. It is one of the most prominent streams under OINP. 

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) gives the skilled labourers the work they require and thereby reducing the labour shortage faced by many. IRCC Express Entry System issued 2552 NOIs in the category of Skilled Trades Stream in the month of January. 

The minimum  CRS cut-off range is between 350-424.  It is beneficial for the aspiring immigrants as it gives an idea to build a strong profile in the future. 

Eligibility criteria  for French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream

To qualify as the French-Speaking Skilled Worker, according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC), “ at least one year of Paid full-time work experience or part-time in TEER Category 0,1,2 or 3.’’

With the score of 317-469, French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream had the significant number of 984 NOIs. From the past six months, the NOIs issued saw an upward trend. In September 2023, the 63 NOIs were issued in the general draw category.
