Manitoba PNP: First Draw of the Month with 282 Invitations

On February 8, 2024, Manitoba PNP released its first Draw of February. The overall number of invitations is 282, which is relatively higher than the previous Draw. 

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program conducts Draws to invite people. There are three streams in Manitoba’s Draw: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas. 

• Skilled Workers in Manitoba: It is a collection of Manitoba immigrants with work experience, job offers, and required skills to attain the labour force in Manitoba. It targets those working in the province at the time of their application. 

Close Relative Manitoba Selection: A close relative of an applicant must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen and have resided in Manitoba for at least one year. Relatives include a sister, brother, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, grandparents, and first cousin. Proof of settlement in Manitoba and relationship is required. The total number of applied Letters of Advice issued is 151, and the lowest-ranked candidate invited ranking score is 619. 

If an applicant cannot prove the relation with the residing individual in Manitoba through documentation, then the Letter of Advice to Apply will be declined. 

• International Education Stream: This stream prioritizes international graduates of post-secondary institutions in the province. An individual who succeeds through this stream receives a nomination from Manitoba, which makes the individual eligible to apply for Canadian permanent resident status. The total number of applied Letters of Advice issued in this Draw is 83. 
• Skilled Worker Overseas: It emphasizes the workers with experience from overseas to contribute to the labour gaps in Manitoba. Successful candidates through this stream may receive a nomination from Manitoba, and the candidate becomes eligible to apply for Canada's permanent residence. The total number of applied Letters of Advice issued is 48, and the lowest-ranked candidate invited ranking score is 713. 

A total number of 282 Letters of Advice were issued in this Draw, and 26 indicate the valid Express Entry profile number and job-seeking validation code. 

The candidates invited through the Express Entry profile and job-seeking code will become eligible to receive a nomination if an applicant’s  Express Entry profile is valid at the time of applicant assessment.
