British Columbia released its latest Draw on February 27, 2024, under the Skilled Worker and International Graduate stream, including the EEBC option with a CRS score ranging from 65 to 108. 

The number of invitations was also issued in the Entrepreneur Immigration category.

British Columbia selects high-scoring candidates by issuing invitations to the candidates who have applied for the British Columbia PNP under different categories. 

The number of invitations issued is approximately 192, with different Draw types and their minimum scores. 

The Draw types are Childcare, Healthcare, Construction, Tech, and Veterinary care, with a maximum score of 108 in Tech and a minimum score of 65 in Childcare, Healthcare, and Veterinary care.

Skilled Worker (EEBC option) Stream: This category prioritizes international skilled workers who have post-secondary education or training and experience in professional, management, technical, trade, or other skilled occupations.

The candidate's occupation must be classified under the National Occupation Classification (NOC).

International Graduate (EEBC option) Stream: Candidates applying under this category must have a full-time permanent qualifying job offer in a skilled occupation from an employer of BC.

The eligible candidate must have a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada. 

Factors of Invitations to Apply (ITA): 

There are various factors upon which the invitations to apply are based: 

  • Language proficiency: A candidate must have a language proficiency in English, French, or Both. 
  • Education: The candidate must specify the level and field of education. 
  • Eligible professional designation in BC.
  • Duration and Skill level of work experience: Candidate must have years of work experience related to the job offer. 
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer: Candidates must have an hourly wage for their job offer in BC is $70 or more.
  • Intent to live, work, or settle in a specific region.
  • Strategic priorities indicate that a candidate is willing to contribute to BC's labor market needs or support pilot projects and initiatives.

 

Entrepreneur Immigration Invitations:

The Draw is held on a monthly basis. The number of invitations issued under this stream is approximately 9, with a minimum score of 106 and 115, respectively, under the streams of Regional Pilot and Base. 

 

This Draw is conducted for qualified entrepreneurs whom a participating community has referred.

The Invitations to Apply (ITA) in an Entrepreneur Immigration stream are based on the following factors:

  • The registration scores of qualified candidates.
  • The specific region where a candidate wants to establish a business.
  • Whether a purposed business, an existing one, a purchased one, or a new set-up.
  • The population size of the community where a candidate wants to establish a business.
  • Whether a business proposal is associated with an identified priority business sector.
