Express Entry Latest Draw: 150 NOIs issued under agriculture and agri-food occupation category

On February 16, 2024, Express Entry released its latest Draw at 15:18:05 UTC under agriculture and agri-food occupations, with the total number of invitations issued being 150.

The rank required to be invited to apply is 150 or above, with the lowest CRS score of a candidate invited is 437.

The tie-breaking rule is January 29, 2024, at 03:32:58 UTC. 

IRCC introduced the tie-breaking rule to break ties in Express Entry among the candidates with the same CRS score. The selection of an application is based on the time and date of a candidate. 

Express Entry ranks candidates in the pool using the point-based system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) calculator.

In the Express Entry round of invitation, they choose the type of round to be held, decide the number of candidates to be invited, identify the highest-ranking candidate from the pool who is eligible for the chosen round type, and invite these candidates to apply for the permanent resident (PR). 

Express Entry holds different types of rounds throughout the year. 

• General category: In this general round of invitations, high-ranking candidates eligible for any of the three programs managed by Express Entry, i.e., Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class, are invited to the pool. 
• Program-specific rounds: In this round, candidates who are eligible for a specific program managed by Express Entry are invited. If a round is held specifically for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), then the candidates eligible for the PNP are invited. 
• Category-based round: The Minister established a category to meet specific economic goals. Candidates who are eligible for this category are invited. 

A category-based round adds to the general and program-specific rounds by inviting high-ranking candidates who can meet specific economic goals. 

Instructions for each round of Invitations:

Each round has particular instructions posted online at the time of the round and used by the Express Entry system to invite candidates from the pool. The instructions are:

• Date and time on which the round is held
• The number of candidates who will get an invitation to apply
• Type of the round to be held, i.e., general, category-based and program-specific
• If program-specific, then which immigration program is included in the round
• If category-based, the eligibility of the candidate for a specific category

Invitations to apply for the program, i.e., the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class, may be issued through this round of invitations.
