IRCC issues 1,400 Invitations in the Express Entry Draw under the French Language Category

Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issues an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR for aspiring immigrants to immigrate to Canada.
The latest Express Entry Draw was held on April 24, 2024, under the French Language Category. Canada invited 1,400 potential candidates to apply to Canada PR.
It was the first draw of the month under this category, with the lowest CRS score of 410.
However, in the previous draw under this category, held on March 26, 2024. IRCC invites 1,500 candidates, with the lowest CRS score of 388.
This represents the decrease in the Number of Invitations (NOIs) that were issued in this draw from the last draw under the French language category.
According to the IRCC, to become qualified under this category, you must:

Have a French language proficiency test result with a minimum score of 7 points in all 4 language abilities.

Guidelines for the rounds of Invitations:
The instructions for each round of invitations are posted online at the time of the round, and the Express Entry System also uses this information to invite candidates from the Express Entry pool.
Instructions for rounds of invitations include:

Date and Time in which the round is held.

Eligibility of a candidate for a specific category. Applies only for the category-based rounds.

The number of candidates that will get an invitation to apply.

Specifies the type of round, i.e., general, program-specific, or category-based.

Specifies the included immigration program in the round. Applies to only program-specific rounds.
The Canadian government conducts the Express Entry draws, and it issues invitations to eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
The Express Entry is a point-based system that transparently ranks the candidates in the pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) calculator.
IRCC selects candidates for immigration from the three economic programs managed by the Express Entry system.
The Express Entry draw will either be a program-specific, general draw, or a category-based draw.
This draw under the French language category is a category-based draw where IRCC identifies candidates with in-demand skills and issues invitations to apply.
There are six in-demand skill categories from which a candidate can receive an invitation to apply:

Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions

Trades Occupations such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors

Transport Occupations

Agriculture and agri-food occupations

French Proficiency
The invitations are issued from these categories to fulfill the labour scarcity and market needs.
The Canadian government has taken this initiative to address the shortage of French-speaking people in Canada and allow French-speaking people to immigrate to their country.
