On April 11, 2024, IRCC announced the latest Express Entry Draw under the category-based selection draw in STEM occupations.
This was the first draw of 2024 under the STEM occupation to issue 4,500 invitations to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
However, this is the second draw in the month of April, followed by the general category draw, which was held on April 10, 2024, inviting 1,280 potential candidates to
apply for Canada PR with a minimum CRS score of 549.
The Express Entry is a point-based system that transparently ranks the candidates in the pool using the
Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) calculator.
Candidates who have qualified were required a minimum CRS score of 491 to be invited.
The Canadian government conducts the Express Entry draws where they issue invitations to candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
