Express Entry Draw: IRCC issues 1,500 NOIs under the French Language Category

The draw was held on March 26, 2024, in the French language category. It was the first draw in this category for this month. IRCC invites 1,500 candidates with the lowest CRS score of 388 to apply for Canada PR. 
However, in the previous draw under this category, held on February 29, 2024, 2,500 invitations were issued, with the lowest CRS score of 336. 
This represents the decrease in the Number of Invitations (NOIs) that were issued in this draw from the last draw under the French language category. 
The Canadian government conducts the Express Entry draws where they issue invitations to candidates from the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residency in Canada. 
The Express Entry is a point-based system that transparently ranks the candidates in the pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) calculator. 
IRCC selects candidates for immigration from the economic programs managed by the Express Entry system. 
The Express Entry draw will either be a program-specific, general draw, or a category-based draw. 
This draw under the French language category is a category-based draw where IRCC identifies candidates with in-demand skills and issues invitations to apply. 
There are six in-demand skill categories from which a candidate can receive an invitation to apply: 

The invitations are issued from these categories to fulfill the labour scarcity and market needs. 
The French proficiency category is the one to receive the highest Number of Invitations till now. 
The Canadian government takes this initiative to recover the shortage of French-speaking population in Canada and allows French-speaking to immigrate to their country.
