Canada Big Update! Does Canada-India Ties Recover Soon?

In a recent report, it is noted that the dispute between Canada and India is rising after a long-drawn discussion on the assassination of Canadian separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar last year in British Columbia. 

However, there are different views that have been noted by Prime Minister— Justin Trudeau and Foreign Minister— Melanie Joly. 

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, said that after several years of rigorous investigation, the Canadian intelligence agencies have concluded.

On the other hand, Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said that in response to a question asked in the middle of the ongoing stalemate about whether the Canadian government is considering imposing sanctions on India, she said that they want India to cooperate with them, they will continue to engage with Five Eyes Partners, and “Everything is on the table.” 

Moreover, Melanie Joly also said, “We know that thousands of Canadians go to India every year. We have lots of people from India coming to Canada as well. So we know that there are deep people-to-people ties, and want to make sure that these are still possible.” 

For a moment, though, things are looking bad, but expectantly, the ties between both countries will recover soon. 

We are expecting that the relationship between the countries will get better soon, and aspiring immigrants will get a chance again to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
