British Columbia PNP Draw: Latest Invitations to immigrants and Draw results

On 06 Feb, 2024 British Columbia invited approx 225 immigrants from different categories and streams with different minimum scores and eligibility according to the streams. 

Different streams of Invitations are Skill Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration. In Skill Immigration the number of invitations are around 217 whereas in Entrepreneur Immigration released on 16th January, 2024, the number of invitations were around 8.

Skill Immigration stream

Skill Immigration stream is a pathway by British Columbia PNP to immigrate for skilled workers and recent graduates with skills and experience needed by British Columbia employers for permanent residence (PR).

Different streams in Skill Immigration are for different categories of skilled workers with varied experience. Streams like Skilled workers, Skilled workers EEBC option, International Graduate, International Graduate- EEBC option have an equal minimum score of 122 and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled have a minimum score of 97. 

Invitations to apply in the Skill Immigration stream are based on the different factors such as:

• Education level
• Professional designation in BC
• Language skills
• Occupation
• Work experience
• Skill level of job offer
• Intent to live or settle in any specific region
• Strategic priorities; factors that mark specific labour needs or support government pilot projects.

Each factor has different eligibility criteria.

Entrepreneur Immigration stream

Entrepreneur Immigration is for the people who want to start their own business in British Columbia that support economic growth of British Columbia. 

On January 16, 2024 British Columbia invited around 5 people from the two streams of Entrepreneur Immigration Category;

• Regional Pilot with minimum score of 135 and
• Base with minimum score of 116. 

Invitation to apply in Entrepreneur Immigration stream is based on the factors mentioned below: 

• Qualified candidates registration score
• Specific region where candidate choose to establish business
• Population size of the community where an entrepreneur want to start their business
• The proposed business is a startup or a purchase of an existing business
• The proposed business is aligned with an identified business sector 

Each factor has different eligibility criteria.

Invitation to apply for Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot are conducted on a monthly basis for qualified entrepreneurs who were referred by the participating community.

Invitations to apply for Entrepreneur Immigration Base are conducted periodically but it may be limited due to targeted invitations and to maintain the standard processing time.

British Columbia issues invitations in all streams except for Health Authority and International Post Graduate, the applicants in this sector can apply directly.

At regular intervals, British Columbia PNP invites people who are in the pool to submit an application to the program.

ITAs are based on the information given in registrations and the applicant gets selected or invited based on the qualifications and who are most likely to meet the economy of British Columbia.
