British Columbia Highlights Entrepreneur Talent in Latest PNP Draw

On May 28, 2025, the province of British Columbia issued a new round of invitations through the Entrepreneur Immigration stream of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), offering entrepreneurs a new opportunity to apply for Canada PR

In this draw, British Columbia invited 9 candidates under the Base stream, with a minimum score of 115. 

Fewer than 5 invitations were issued under the Regional Pilot stream, where the minimum score was set at 123.

This draw reflects the province’s continued focus on attracting experienced entrepreneurs who have the potential to contribute to the province’s economic development, particularly in regional areas that benefit from small business investments.

The BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration stream is designed to allow international entrepreneurs to establish or buy an existing business in British Columbia. Successful applicants are given the opportunity to become permanent residents of Canada, along with their families.

Candidates are assessed and ranked using a points-based system, with scores calculated through the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration Points Calculator. This system considers factors such as business experience, net worth, investment amount, location of the proposed business, and plans for job creation.

Candidates who achieve the highest scores may receive an invitation to apply and can later submit a full application to the IRCC for permanent residency.
To receive an invitation, applicants must meet the specific eligibility criteria of the stream they apply under. This includes submitting an online Expression of Interest (EOI) and accurately reporting qualifications, language proficiency, education, and past business experience.
