Big Opportunity for 111 Candidates in latest Manitoba PNP Draw

On March 6, 2025, Manitoba held its latest  Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #240 for the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams. A total of 111 invitations were issued in this draw.

Under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba category a total of 98 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) were issued. The lowest-ranked candidate invited had a ranking score of 861.

For the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, the draw focused on profiles that were directly invited by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) through a strategic recruitment initiative. A total of 13 Letters of Advice to Apply were issued, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 724.

Additionally, 27 of the 111 LAAs issued were given to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Important Keynotes:

1. It is important to note that the MPNP only considered expressions of interest from skilled workers overseas candidates who were directly invited to participate in a strategic recruitment initiative. 

2. If your ranking score is higher than the lowest-ranked candidate, but you did not receive an LAA, there may be issues with your EOI, such as an incorrect or expired language test number or an invalid invitation number from a strategic recruitment initiative.
In such cases, candidates are advised to update their EOI to provide the correct information for future draws.

3. Candidates working in regulated occupations and fully licensed in Manitoba were also considered for selection. However, the MPNP may refuse applications from candidates who do not actually work in a regulated occupation or fail to provide proof of the necessary licensing steps to be employed in Manitoba. Those who fall into this category may consider declining their LAA.
