Australia Issued 7,037 EOIs for Permanent Residency

On August 21, 2025, Australia’s Skill Select issued a total number of 7,037 invitations to skilled professionals to immigrate to Australia and apply for permanent residency there.
The invitations were issued under the Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) category and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) – Family Sponsored.

The next Australia Skill Select invitation round of the draw is determined by the department’s application backlog at that time, size, frequency, and cut-off score.
In each skill select invitation round, the number of invitations may vary depending on the number of on-hand applicants.
The invitation round will be held periodically during the program year of:
- Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189).
- Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)- Family Sponsorship.

To receive an invitation, you need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) first.
