AAIP Targets Healthcare Workers in Latest PNP Draw

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has conducted three healthcare-focused draws in April 2025 under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway, a non-Express Entry stream, highlighting the province’s ongoing efforts to address labor shortages in the healthcare sector. 

The draws were held on April 1, April 4, and April 8, inviting qualified candidates with varying selection scores.

April 8, 2025 Draw

On April 8, 2025, Alberta invited 28 candidates through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway. This draw had a minimum CRS score requirement of 53, which is the lowest among the three draws conducted this month.

The reduced score threshold suggests Alberta is aiming to broaden access for eligible healthcare professionals and respond more urgently to workforce needs across the province.

April 4, 2025 Draw

In a prior round held on April 4, 2025, the AAIP issued 19 invitations to candidates under the same healthcare stream, i.e., Dedicated Healthcare Pathway, with a minimum CRS score of 71, indicating a more selective approach compared to the draw that followed on April 8.

April 1, 2025 Draw

The first draw of the month occurred on April 1, 2025, during which a total of 34 candidates were invited to apply under the AAIP Dedicated Healthcare Pathway. 

To qualify for this round, candidates needed to have a minimum CRS score of 60. This initial draw set the tone for the subsequent healthcare-focused immigration selections that followed later in the month.

These draws reflect Alberta’s strategic focus on attracting skilled professionals to meet ongoing demand in the healthcare system.
