190 Invitations issued in Latest Alberta Rural Renewal Stream Draw

On February 3, 2025, Alberta issued its latest draw under the Rural Renewal Stream of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).
This draw issued a total of 190 invitations with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 68.

What is a Rural Renewal Stream?

The rural Renewal Stream is an immigration program under Alberta’s Advantage in Immigration Program (AAIP) created to approach skilled workers in rural and smaller communities in Alberta.
This initiative targets foreign workers who can help meet labor market demands in rural communities. 

Eligibility Criteria for the Rural Renewal Stream

• The candidate must have a valid job offer from an employer located in a rural area of Alberta.
• Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to settling in one of Alberta’s designated rural or small-town regions. 
• Candidates must have a minimum CRS score of 68.

Note: CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) is a party of the federal Express Entry System, which is used to rank candidates based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. The higher a candidate’s CRS score, the better their chances of being invited to apply for provincial nomination.

• Candidates should have relevant work experience in industries that align with the labor market needs of rural Alberta. This can include expertise in sectors such as healthcare, technology,  agriculture, manufacturing, and trades.
